Just bought a Vox AD50VT amp with the VSF-2 footswtich, and... disaster! The footswitch cable is not long enough!

I really have no idea how they expect you to be able to gig with a cable measuring little over 1 metre, surely most stages are much bigger than that?!

So does anyone know of any extension cables which can be bought to extend the lead to an appropriate length? Unfortunately I don't really know much about the workings of cables and amps...

Any help would be much appreciated!!

I'm pretty sure most footswitch cables are just Stereo 1/4". You should have no problem finding a Stereo 1/4" cable check your local electronics stores.

Hmm...

I tried the local Comets but they didn't have anything. i've never seen a 1/4" cable with an "IN" socket at one end and an "OUT" at the other, but I'll check somewhere in a specialist shop to make sure.

If anyone has any other ideas or knows of where you can buy such a cable let me know.

Cheers!

radioshack has them---"headphone extensions."

You could make your own too if you were bored.
