The RGT6EX is taken from Japan's RG Extreme Edition model, its been in Japan since end of last year if i recall. Apparently its a prestige there, or so they call it....

RGT6EX is sweet, I was hoping it would be Mahogany like the Japanese versions though, that would be the ultimate metal rhythm guitar, but great additions to the Ibanez family. That RG350 is looking a lot like the old RG550 (discontinued), but grr, Edge III.
Ibanez Prestige RG1570 ftw!

if its extreme dont they include emg pickups aswell

Yea, i believe that its original EMG, but it doesnt have any ® sign, so, cant confirm that fo' sho. Or it'd probably be made from Korea and put in the IBZ INF - EMG like those in Guitar Center exclusive, or better yet, a new IBZ, the IBZ EMG.....

And another thing, the Japanese version is also made from Basswood-maple/walnut neck.

They should put EMG's in the S520EX, then it'd be orgasmically awesome.

i like the new 520 finish, but the pics on ibanez.com aren't always what they really look like.

Woah, a maple neck RG again...I think the only one apart from the Paul Gilbert sig?

and the RGT with EMGs looks pretty nice, depending on the price it may be more affordable than getting an RG321 and sticking EMGs in it (however the 321s also come in mahogany)
#20
The RGT6EX is very nice.

The new S520 and SZ520 colors are okay.

The doubleneck is nice. Remidns me of an Alembic. However it seems they sell about 6.5k. Handcrafted and 45 in the world. A bit high priced... but if the people want it. feh.

And maple necks FTW.
haha

Wow, that RGT6 is nice.

Neck thru, EMG pickups, and i'll bet my ass it wont be too expensive...

The RGT6EX retails at USD1000 in Japan, so roughly it'd be around $700-800 perhaps.

then again you could get a prestige ibanez at that price granted the pups arent the best in the world. though price i would assume would be more at 500-600usd so about 1200aud for me
#25
Seriously i'd just get an RG321MH + EMGs in 'em, but i really like the inlays on the RGT6, looks like the Ibanez JPM100 series

If there's any situtation where the neck breaks in half, it means time for a new guitar.

not for any bolt on neck guitar.

Give me one accidental situation that would snap a neck both maple and mahogony/rosewood, in half. But leave the body perfectly fine so it wouldn't need to be replaced either.

doesnt need to snap the fretboard in half either just the neck material. otherwise gig bag + baggage handlers = **** happens
#38
Has this happened to you? guitar neck woods in themselves are very durable and the added support of a truss rod make baggage handlers seem like nothing.

possible mate. never said will happen. and if if necks that have volutes break at the head stock then surely it could break in the middle.

Headstock break all the time, and are often fixed instead of replaced, I'm talking the shaft of the neck. Headstocks are a lot weak than necks.
