Are there any Telecasters out there with a humbucker at the bridge and the lipstick pickup at the neck?? I can't find one anywhere (musiciansfriend.com).

I'm not too sure you know, you could always buy a normal S-S one and mod it.

close one.

^its a little costly to mod it tho only cause u have to swap out the bridge. but its not hard or anything.

guess it would be easier to get an HH tele and swap the top for a singlecoil.

The Squier Obey Tele has that config, except it's a generic single at the neck, and not a lipstick, but you can always change that.

Same goes for the Squier Tele Special.

Other than that... Well, it's easy enough to get a Telecaster Humbucker bridgeplate.

well then John 5 guitar is incredibly ugly and the squier doesn't even have a pickgaurd, so it would look ugly with a lipstick in place of the humbucker at the neck. I think I might just buy a SS and buy a new bridge that fits a humbucker. Or just get a hotrail. whichever is cheapest.

What the fuck is goin on with that John5 headstock?

Apparently, it's to make behind-the-nut bending easier.

John 5 was a member of K.D. Lang's band at one point.

On the other hand...

I'd be more inclined to get an HH telecaster without a pickguard, and a single coil pickguard and lipstick pup.

I mean, it means no routing, just a matter of switching the pickups and attaching a pickguard.
