um....look at the guitars that indie and alternative musicians use.
the
music and soul of love and hope and light manifesting in our minds, trapping whats left of us in our hearts.
where theres nowhere to go.

indie is so varied you can use pretty much anything you want really, it depends on what specific sound you are going for. Though lately ive seen quite a few indie bands use teles.

sure standards are decent guitars for the money, just make sure you inspect it first to make sure its in good shape and plays well.

Tele. Generally anything with a really good clean sound.
There once was a man who really loved salt
So he tied his nose to the sea
And then God came down from his silver throne
And said, 'Honey, that water ain't free

Save up and get an MIM Fender.

I've seen some indie bands use a Gibson semi-hollow, most likely an ES-335. Just get an Epiphone Dot. You can also get a Telecaster or Strat.

Go with a standard or get more money and get an American Made. Never go for a Squier unless you like extreme crapulence in your guitars.
