i do it and it and it sounds fine, you might want to invest in one of those feedback blocker things that you put in the sound hole though. (i have no idea what the proper name for those is)

Mine says "feedback buster", so.. I dunno either.

I prefer not to play mine through an electric amp, but if you can get the EQ right on both the guitar and the amp it can sound alright.

A PA just sounds better, electric amps can be done but you have to be wary of things like feedback and so forth.

Acoustics will play fine through electric amps


however

electrics shouldnt be played through acoustic amps

It works fine. You get a buzz depending on where you stand, it's not feedback, it's something with the pickup, at least mine.
