okay

the new schecter c1 FR comes with exclusive duncan designs active pickups (might suck) and a LISCENSED floyd rose. its got a bolt on neck.
i could get it for $450 usd when it comes out.

the older c1 FR comes with duncan designed passive pickups and an ORIGINAL floyd rose. its got a setneck.
i could get this for $550 usd.

should i save the extra $100 for the setneck and original floyd? if i did i wouldnt have the active pickups.

well what kind of music do you play? heaver stuff=active, not as heavy=passive

and they're both floyd roses so, it doesnt matter

have fun with the new axe

well you could change the pickups, and you could probably also swap the LFR for OFR, but you can't change the neck joint. The set-neck will have better upper fret access. IMO the older one would be better.
#4
yea thats what i thought.
im fine with swapping the curent pickups out for some emgs. and its already got an OFR.

in 6 weeks
that baby is mine.

They are both FR, but the older model has an Official FR, which is better than the Liscenced FR that the newer model carries.

BRILLIANT! i was going to swap out the pickups anyway.
but i dont want the cherry colored one.
and the black one has a thin binding.
i like thick bindings you can see from a distance.
and i dont like the gothic crosses.

so i guess ill get the c1 FR and put emgs...should run me about...700 USD.

Get the one with the OFR
There once was a man who really loved salt
So he tied his nose to the sea
And then God came down from his silver throne
And said, 'Honey, that water ain't free

the new one is better for one reason and one reason only

Dot Inlays!!!!!

but the older one i nice cause of the ofr, and set neck, but if you got the new one, you could swap the floyd for a better one, put new pickups in, and if you want recess the metal plate in the back so it feels like a set neck, and i think the new one comes in white and black where the old one comes in black only.
