i got this custom made guitar with a strat body. recently i resaughtered(sp?) the wires back onto the cable input piece and now it plays in clean but when i turn on distortion i get a really high pitched scream/squeal outa it. its not the amp cuz i have another guitar to and it works fine, and im pretty sure i put the wires in the right place. any sugestions

it's feedback? get the pick ups potted, turn the gain/volume/treble down. turn away/stand farther from the amp.

you probably mixed up the ground wire with the other wire, just melt off the solder and re solder them on but switch them like jj1565 said
