On a Fender Strat when your lowing the action which way to you turn the screw to the left or to the right??

Which screw do you turn I'm too confused right now, is it the one connected tot eh spring or the other one on the pickguard?

the two on the saddle near where the string came out

when i twist it with a screwdriver it doesn't change the action all it does is move the screw up or down, its a 70s strat i don't know if that helps

your meant to use allen keys to change it not screwdriver. and it should move up and down cos its changing the action

the things that i circled on the bridge

just put the allen key into the grey grooves and then spin.

Thanks for the help a lot I forgot to say, but the problem is that those things you cirlced are screws on my strat and when i unscrew or tigheten them they do nothing. I read this thing on Fender.com

"Adjustment at headstock (Allen wrench): Sight down the edge of the fingerboard from behind the headstock, looking toward the body of the instrument. If neck is too concave (action too high), turn the truss rod nut clock-wise to remove excess relief. If the neck is too convex (strings too close to the fingerboard), turn the truss rod nut counter-clockwise to allow the string tension to pull more relief into the neck. Check your tuning, then recheck the gap with the feeler gauge and re-adjust as needed."

Does that work or does it screw around with my neck and make it have the possibiltiy of being unstraight?

The neck of my guitar is perfectly straight I just wanted to change the action using the bridge

what you posted isnt used to adjust action but rather neck hump/bow. and it does mess with the neck. and what string gauge are you using?

u raise those screws to lower the saddle.
like said, u use a tiny allen key.
