Hi there

I saw this guide on stringing on ultimate guitar. I used this method and it does deliver a really neat result on the tuning posts.

But I myself have a stratocaster with a normal nut, while the guy on the vid has a Floyd Rose locking nut

So if I have a normal nut, should i not use this method and use a more conventional method for stringing? (Maybe with the method on the video the strings can slip easier?)

I've got a regular Strat type bridge and nut, no locking tuners and I use the same method (take the sting around the tuner, pull on it a bit, then put it through the hole). Works fine for me, really saves the hassle of winding the thing around there half a dozen times until its got enough tension.
