i wish i couldnt read
the words on the newspaper
i wish i didnt feel
those words in my heart
no i didnt need
any bombs with my breakfast
and i didnt need
any killings from the start

is it too much to ask
to be naive again
when summers would last
and i was barely tall enough
to ask
daddy whats going on in the world today
and he would say
same old, same old
and i would think
everything is perfect
everything is fine

so what happens now?
am i old enough to do something
or young enough to ignore
that every day brings something more?
i know it will never be perfect
and i know it will never be fine
i just dont want my son to be told
same old, same old
i shwung and i shwinged
but it never really shwang

hmmmm... rather simple, but not bad at all. The rhythm was pretty nice. This piece was nice, but nothing was exaclty amazing, if you know what I mean. Nice, solid job, though.

If you feel like it, I'd like a crit : https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=397858

For the most part, I really like it. I would add a bridge of some sort in there, just to add a little more texture, possibly just something a little short and snappy.

Another idea, if this is for a more 'plugged in' song, have a solo after the last verse, then for the outro repeat the last four lines of the first verse.

If you want to crit any of my lyrics, I have the links in my sig. Thanks! And keep up the good work.
