They still do make Gibson LP Juniors. Musician's Friend is the main site that has them. They're $750 and they only have vintage sunburst. There are also the custom shop Reissues for $1900-$2200.

Epiphone DOES still make Juniors as well. They have the cheap $99 version which is pretty crappy, the $150 version with a p-90 that's mediocre, and the $300 '57 reissue version which is good.

Out of all of them, I'd recommend the Epi '57 reissue. I've wanted a LP Junior for about a year now, and I just couldn't justify the price of the Gibson at $750 when it's only $300 for the Epi '57 reissue that's made with the same (and better) stuff. Both are mahogany, both have set mahogany necks, both have wrap-around bridges. The Epi, however, has a p-100 pickup to reduce hum, as well as Grover tuners. I believe the P-100 is by Gibson as well, but I'm not positive.

I'm getting the Epi '57 reissue. I've looked at these Juniors for the past year and have looked into every aspect of their construction, materials and cost. I've read countless reviews and talked to people that own them. I did all of this before the Epi '57 reissue Jr. came out earlier this year. I was pretty much decided against getting the Gibson LP Jr. because the cost just wasn't justifiable. I was going to pass on it and I was looking at other guitars. Then, Epi released this new '57 reissue and I looked into it thoroughly. It matches the Gibson specwise, is less than half the price, and comes in more than just one color. It's also gotten good reviews since it came out as well.

wow, since i still have my savings account, in like 3 years ill buy that and my orange crush amp (jk, just the amp)

They're cool guitars. It's a shame that they come with the "Billie Joe stigma." It's not like he's the only person to ever use a Les Paul Junior.

Hopefully I'll get mine soon. I still have to decide on the color though...

It is, the Orange Tube amps are orgasmic, but the SS ones are pieces of crap, and why would he be saving up so long for a $100 amp, his Spider is much better than the Orange one he plans to buy.

^And that's a sad truth.

Arlabester, look at some tube amps. No sense in downgrading from a modelling amp to a regular POS solid state amp.

No, the spider gets some pretty good distortion, I tried one out and it had some balls, very small ones, but they're there.

^If you can get $400 together look at the Peavey Valveking 112. It's full tube and is quite nice from what I've read about it.
