what would be good pups for a mahogany explorer(warmoth) to get a nice doom/stoner/sludge tone for tunings like G and A?

I've looked at SD's but I think Gibsons would be good too since all doomsters have SG's or Les Pauls.

maybe a nice chunky Seymore Duncan, a Dimebucker might even do they job

*edit* stay away from dimarzios, more for trebly shred stuff

when i think sludge i think Invader.

G and A? why dont you just play bass instead, you'll get better tone.
Ibanez -> Peavey -> Eardrums

Apparently I'm on some list of people to listen to..?

actually, use a Duncan Detonator, there are from the "Duncan Performer" series and run about $30 bucks, basicly there a sludger Invader but half the price, i have one im gonna throw in my strat soon (i got mine at guitar center)

^I do play bass too but not in this band (the bass's gonna be downtuned alot also)

I thaugt about the Invader cause it has lots of gain to make that distorted fuzzy sound as well as feedback
