Would creating a fretless guitar or bass be just as easy as removing the metal frets, or is there much more to it than that? What ways would be effective for removing the frets? Thanks.

hmm, I dunno if I've ever seen a fretless guitar, I've only seen bass. Is it at all common or does it even sound any good?

Yeah it's really an experiment but it's something I won't be too let down if it fails, so I figured it's worth it. And no, they're not common, I really didn't know if they existed, but thanks for the above posts, some of those videos are getting me really amped about this.

it's fairly easy..just remove the frets and fill the slots with epoxy. and you'll have practically no sustain so get a fernandes or sustainiac driver.
