wat would be the best wood (neck, fingerboard, body), for a scooped mid sound i always have my amp, full gain, bass, treble, and no middle, what would be a good guitar wood for this sound?,ill looked at dozens of websites about tone wood characteristics but all of them are extremly vague, any help would be greatly appreicated

Mohagonay............ No really, I don't know, but try adding some mids in there, it may sound not-so-good now, but with a band you'll cut through a lot better. Try it.

wood doesnt matter for EQ you would want either an amp with mids, certain tone pots, or an eq pedal, a wah pedal may work too

Well the most classic users of the scooped mid tone are of course Metallica, and they use mahogany and alder. I'd say mahogany is more often used for the scooped rythm parts (for the solos its a bit more balanced out).

theres not as much distinction between woods with scooped mids.

mahogany would give you a stronger bass, and thats why a lot of people use it for high gain things whether its scooped or not. but it isnt too big of a difference with no mids.

you know if your mids are scooped your tone is pretty much going to not be very great so wood isnt really isnt that important. But yeah alder or mahogany are probably your best bet.
