I just picked up my Microcube a few days ago and I wanted to try recording with it into my computer. I have a Line 6 Toneport but I want to try using the Cube straight to the computer without the Toneport.

Do I just buy a 1/4" to 1/8" cable?

What jack do I plug it into? (mic, line in, etc)

Thanks

1/4 to 1/8 adapter, into the line in.

I'm not very active here on UG currently.
I'm a retired Supermod off to the greener pastures of the real world.

Everyone says that the Cube is a great recording device. How does it sound crappy?

Doesn't soudn that bad to me. I found a wire around my house and the high gain stuff doesn't sound super but its doable. Everything else still sounds great.

The microcube is great for line-out recording, but miccing is always better, so I recommend that, if you have them means.

I line-out with my Microcube. However, you're going to have to do a little bit of post-equalization on it, as it kind of lacks in highs on some settings...
