that "m" is supposed to be "M" but for some reason it won't stay that way

it took you 15 consecutive hours of practice to realize that playing guitar makes you better at playing guitar. congratulations.

I thought it was an Emaj9

Don't want to be an actor pretending on the stage
Don't want to be a writer with my thoughts out on the page
Don't want to be a painter 'cause everyone comes to look
Don't want to be anything where my life's an open book

Phish - Waste

no because an Emaj9 would have a D instead of D#/Eb

Actually I think Emaj9 is correct.

E - tonic
Ab - major 3rd
B - major 5th
Eb - major 7th
Gb - major 9th

An Eb/D# is the major 7th of an E chord, so you have 1, 3, 5, 7, 9

now that I look at it, I'm pretty sure IrishBlues was right

Emaj7/F# would be correct, but an Emaj9 would have a b7, making the D# - D

ahh, my bad, i mixed it up with E9, you're correct
