Okay so after a long period of finding what kind of amp i wanted i finally found the Roland Cubes, i decided on the Roland Cube 30 but theres one problem, i wont be able to get it for a while because of the price, since my parents are paying for half. Now, if i get a Roland Microcube i will be able to get it immediatly, what should i do? I know both are great little amps, and i'd want it for practice which is why i'm leaning more towards the microcube but i would also like to keep my options open with the 30.

Anyone who owns these amps have any recommendations?

well IMO i like the 30 over the micro. It has more options and is a bit louder.

If you pick the 30, you might as well just save up for a 60. It has an extra amp model or two (I think), more knobs and buttons, and will sound better.

well i can tall you this much do NOT get a marshall MG. becasue you will blow the speaker with duncans in the guitar. i know for experience.

+1 the 60 sounds better than the 30 and will be loud enough for gigs, so you dont have to buy another amp in 6 months or whenever.

microcube (i have it) doesn't have an equalizer so it's not really for "finding your tone" it's more for playing with awesome settings that work. like anywhere from chili's to metallica to acdc. Look also at the special edition cubes they've got out, like they've got a Cube 20 or something. and don't bother with the 60 if your just going to upgrade to a tube amp in 6 - 12 months, the 30's the same amp with a smaller speaker imo. The microcube is cool if u wanna sound standard, standard metal, standard punk, standard rock, standard everything, it's great cause u always get a recognizable tone out of it.
