Technically, anything can shred.

Never knew he'd take it to heart like that.

i know but what i mean are they good for it

Depends on who you ask.

I think I can move pretty fast on C-style necks, some can shred on Pauls and some can only shred on Wizard necks. Depends on who you ask and who you are.

EDIT: Anything's good for shred, really. But Schecters may be preferred.

Well what makes a guitar shred? The neck, wider than a wizard neck, and the frets, usually jumbo. But Schecter makes alot of different guitars. Which model did you have mind?
#9
Yes a Schecter can shred. Maybe not so good at it to me but then again I do play RG's.
Bleh.

Theyre good for shreding not the best but not the worst either, but any guitar can if you know what youre doing.
#11
Yes.
Simply yes.
Jumbo frets, Fast neck (To me). and on C1's you can easily get the whole way to the twenty fourth fret.
A high end ibanez may be better, But I dunno, jacksons alway seem to have high action to me. My schecters action is like non existant, but it still doesnt buzz at all.

A much better question would be can you shred?

what's the point in being "philiosophical"?

Interesting question...

Its not the guitar, its the person playing it. but schecters r shreddable, but there r a lot of different ones, the hellraiser can be considered a shred guitar i think
