So Im really looking to upgrade my MIM strat stock pickups to something nicer... but Im not really proficiant with pickups. The sound I want to go for is a vintage 60s psychedelic blues, but i also want to be able to handle some sabbath is necersary.

I know there are vintage noiseless pickups but I dont really know what that means.
So if you guys have a strat please let me know what you using.

and if you have an opinion or rec. please fill me in.

Thank you.

noiseless vintage pickups are simple single coils but have half wound one way and half wound the other way, cancelling hum and noise but retaining that single coil spank. i want some.

cool, do they carry any specific tone with them... or do they just cancel out hum

and also I have a Peavey Classic 30 if that makes any difference.

depending on the brand, i think they shoot for your typical strat single coil, but wimply without the noise. i dont know how well they acheive that though, ive never tried any.
