Lamb of God (i wouldnt consider them metalcore but everyone else does)
Between the Buried and Me
I would say DEP but most of it just sounds like randomness that they just made up out of boredom

Wouldn't metalcore have more complicated riffs because it's metal influenced? hardcore is punk influenced soooo yeah. I don't know that many hardcore bands that are that tech though.

A wilhelm scream, even though that's melodic hardcore.

Orange Rockerverb 100 + Orange PPC412
Fernandes Dragonfly Elite
Ibanez RG1570 Prestige
Ibanez RGA121 Prestige
Fender Road Worn Player's Telecaster

Glass Casket that stuff has got original members from between the buried and me.

DEP
Psyopus (although I don't really like them, which isn't really relavent, but whatever)

But in terms of an actual hardcore band (eg. Black Flag, Comeback Kid, Bane, etc) I guess... Every Time I Die ??? I have no clue. I love hardcore stuff, but most "old school" hxc sounds the same after awhile.

^Very good and very complicated.

Protest the Hero have my favorites. The opening riff to "No Stars in Bethlehem" and the ones in "Blindfolds Aside" are amazing. Converge also has some good ones on the 'You Fail Me' CD.
Call me Steve. All the cool kids are doin it.

I would say that you're a retard.

^x2 check out Petitioning the Empty Sky and Jane Doe if you haven't heard them yet.

DEP, BTBAM, Protest the Hero, Converge, Hot Cross are intricate at times.

For hardcore, Betrayed have cool riffs. No hardcore bands are really doing anything complicated or technical though.

I'd say the Ramones.

The Ramones arnt hardcore (forgive me if im wrong) I have alway's seen them as more of a punk band.

through the eyes of the dead has the best riffs, also some sick solos, the fastest double bass ive heard, and of course the most badass breakdown ive ever heard in my life(in the song "two inches from a main artery" a few minutes in)
i completely forgot the other two objectives though.

Minor Threat = Best

I agree, also Black Flag

I also think Botch has some of the most influential/original riffs for today's metalcore bands
