Alright, I'm playing bass in my marching band, and my band director is constantly b*tching about how I'm too loud in certain parts, and I dont have the time to turn volume knobs on my bass in the middle of songs since the music is actually busy. So he asked me if I could get a volume pedal to use.

So does anyone know of cheap volume pedals(under 150 USD) that I can use for this?

Whatever happened to dynamics? Play soft when you are too loud. Dear me

You can get Volume Pedals for about £30. Anymore and you've been bumped really. Also, if you got hold off an old wah you can mod that into a volume pedal really easily (someone on this site will know how, ask around).

Or as I say, learn dynamical playing, and you not only have learnt a priceless technique, but will save yourself the trouble of working out how to use a pedal in a marching band, not to mention the bother and cost of buying one.

Many of the volume changes exist in whole notes. And I cant change dynamical playing with my fingers on whole notes because the note has to ring, I cant keep playing through it. So I need something that I can alter the volume while staying connected to everything and still stay in time.

thanks to those of you that actually gave suggestions.
