hi there

i own an ashdown fallen angel and i am thinking a change is in order! i was wondering what i oculd get in terms of another tube amp for around the £350-400 mark, i dont mind second hand at all!! i live in the UK so peavey are out of the question. i play mostly metalcore stuff like Bullet for my valentine, Trivium, Funeral for a friend, avenged sevenfold, fightstar etc... i love mesa's rectos but to expensive, i was wondering what you guys thought. i was relaly thinking a marshall TSL60 or JCM800. cheers,james

You will need an OD for the 800 to do Metalcore. Chorus is only need for cleans though on the 6505.

i own a keeley modded SD-1 so that isnt a problem, so would you say 800 over a JCM2000 DSL/TSL, which would get the more modern tone

The TSL or DSL will get a more modern tone than the 800.
