I want a tube amp, but i only have $500. I play some rock, punk, and some clean stuff. What amp will work for this that's in my budget???

I think the Peavey Valve Kings 112 is in your budget. Check it out that is a great amp. The clean isn't amazing but it is decent.

Also look at the Vox ADTV series. Get the biggest one you could afford if you like em.

For $500? Riiiight.

Check out the usual suspects. All used...

Blues Jr, twin, deluxe
Valveking
Ampeg reverberocket, jet, or superjet
Epi Valve jr.
It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Rivera has crappy resale, you can honestly get one for a little more than that

Valveking is crap, those new ampegs have issues with reliability and the tone is OKAY, never played epi. valve junior but here it's decent

carvin nomad, 550 new, + hasserl mods to even improve upon that: http://www.geocities.com/rlhassebrock/nomaddioderemoval.html

of course there is more you can do, but carvin is probably your best bet
