My friend got Adversary the other day, and I think it's pretty cool. The music is great, but the vocals are kind of ass compared to his stuff with Emperor. I think they fit well though, and they sound good at certain times.

Nicks and dents are battle scars...they give a guitar history.

I heard a few songs off this and it's at the top of my list of albums to get. His vox sound awesome IMO.

It shouldn't really be compared with Emperor, it's pretty much a prog album, and a very good one at that.
#6
^Yeah, very good. I was just comparing the vocals.

edit: forgot to mention, the clean vocals are the ****.

Me like, reminds me a lot of King Diamond in places.

he does that a lot.

i listened to the adversary for 2 days and then never bothered with it again....too similar to old emperor which i detest.

Excellent album, love it all, from the King Diamond falsetto to the more BM-orientated songs.

Hmm judging from your pic you'd fit in more with a fat busted tribute.

It kinda confuses me that people that hated Prometheus love the Adversary. But personally, I think both albums are great.

The Adversary is a lot more progressive than Prometheus.

Meh, never could get into The Adversary.
