Is the SD '59/JB combo good?

'59 in the neck and the JB is in bridge... Im wondering if its a good combo for metal/rock/blues?

I would only stick the JB in something made out of a deeper tone wood like mahogany to balance the treble out. I wouldn't suggest something like alder.

I came across this looking at Brian Moore guitars. Most of their models use a JB in the bridge with a mahogany body. You might be able to get a slight idea of how it sounds here. http://www.iguitar.com/customshop/audio.asp

Edit: They aren't really metal songs but they can still give you an idea of the tonal qualities of the pickup.

I've got that combo in my Schecter C-1 Artist Limited Edition and I have to say that it sounds great with those styles of music.
