Well, I went down to my guitar store to try some new guitars, and fell in love with an epiphone elitist 61 SG standard . Just wondering peoples opinions before I buy it. I play metal, and when i played it it sounded absolutley amazing! It was designed by gibson for epiphone, all parts are US parts assembled in japan, but finished in the US by gibson. Thanks!

i have it and its pretty close to my friends gibson sg standard. wait but aren't they discontinued? I know after i got mine musiciansfriend.com stopped selling it. Go buy it though if its new.

Edit: I play metal to classic rock and it suites it just fine.

^Yes, they do. The Elitist line is their highest end series. They're on par with non-custom shop Gibsons. They're most comparable to their Gibson Standard counterparts. For example, the Elitist SG will be equal to a Gibson SG Standard.
