lol title may be a bit misleading but on a more serious note....

I was taking my old strings of to put on my new pack and with the high e came the nut and I called my local store and asked if it was okay to just put on the strings without glueing the nut back or anything and he said it probably wasnt a good idea nd I should take it into the store to let the guy fix it but that guys only in on saturday and I dont wanna wait that long cause im not playing my electric cause my adapter crapped out and I cant get a new one and even if I was to play pedal-less I left it at my moms so thats not an option so!

my main question is would it be a good idea to just like glue it back in place, my dads got wood glue. Or should I wait till saturday and pay like 6 bucks

thanks for the help
