Simple question. Someone said Piezo Systems picked up vibrations instead of the magnetic field. So could I put nylon strings on and still be able to get sound through my amp?

I'm not sure, but you'd have to adjust your action and make sure to get some ball-end nylons.

Are you pondering what I'm pondering pinky?

Pinky
I think so, Brain, but where would we buy rubber pants at this hour?

Have you ever tried nylons to see if you like them or anything? O, and it would be a bad idea.

You won't be able to use the "electric" part of your guitar. Would defeat the purpose of owning an electric.

I don't know if they make nylons with anchors on them. Don't just buy classical strings, cuz those are just strings...no ball thingie on the end.

I hope that we could get some real metal out there. I guess A7X a start...
But nu metal does have its moments like Slipknot Mushroomhead and Korn.

hmm id say no. if ur pickups didnt rely on magnetics to capture sounds then if u were to yell at ur guitar... it would go through the amp.

although if you want to be creative you could put electric acustic pickups in ur electric guitar... that would be sweet.

i've done it with my guitar because i needed a string, and no it does not work. the sound does not go through the amp at all
