nice looking bass. not sure about the fact, it has no serial #, or country of mfg stamp.
my book indicates Newport basses being manufactured only from1961 thru 1970. it has the body shape of the Epiphone Embassy bass, but the headstock doesn't match. i have also never seen a vintage Epi. with neck-through construction. you might ask about it on Talkbass.com, including e-bay add and photos. there are some really nice forgeries out there. but who cares! nice bass. congrats!
