Here are some 6 string sweeps based off of the G mixolydian, A aeolian, B locrian, and C ionian (major) modes.

e|------------5h8/10----------------------------7-8h10/12---------------
B|----------5--------8------------------------8-----------10------------
G|--------5------------7--------------------9----------------9----------
D|------7----------------9----------------7--------------------10-------
A|----7--------------------10-----------8-------------------------12----
E|5h8-------------------------10-8-7-10------------------------------12-

e|---------------3-5h7/8p7--------------------|
B|-------------5-----------6------------------|
G|-----------7---------------5----------------|
D|---------5-------------------7--------------|
A|-------5-----------------------8p7----------|
E|10-8-7-----------------------------7p5~-----|

It's all supposed to be played consecutively. I just cut it in half to fit the screen. I originally tabbed this out with a clasical guitar (with a cutaway), so it's best played on that (hence the name "sweet" lullaby). Not too fast or anything, and I just let the low a ring out in the end.

Thanks man. Would you guys call this technical? I don't know, I've been working on my technique A LOT lately, so I don't know if this shows for it lol.

umm i dont know if its technical, it sounds pretty good on acoustic i like it, but what you should really try is if you can sweep pick, make that part of your solo and play it pretty fast. that would sound awesome. but yea, i liked it.

I wouldn't think speeding it up and "Shredifying" it would do much good, really. I think it would sound better slower as you intended it. I actually tried making some of your minor phrases major, and I think it sounds a tad better. Perhaps you could play it like this? (I underlined the notes I changed):

e|------------5h8/10----------------------------7-8h10/12---------------
B|----------5--------8------------------------8-----------10------------
G|--------5------------7--------------------9----------------9----------
D|------7----------------9----------------7--------------------11-------
A|----7--------------------10-----------9-------------------------12----
E|5h8-------------------------10-8-7-10------------------------------12-

e|---------------4-5h7/8p7--------------------|
B|-------------5-----------6------------------|
G|-----------7---------------5----------------|
D|---------5-------------------7--------------|
A|-------5-----------------------8p7----------|
E|10-9-7-----------------------------7p5~-----|

I thought the majors made it a little more classical sounding. I have no idea what modes they are though . And I would say that it's a pretty technical run. It depends who you ask though. I don't sweep too much, but if you asked a shredder he would probably call this basic.

Edit: Oh yeah, nice riff, too .
