What would be a better deal for a hardtail guitar?

Agile AL-3000, then add EMG's myself

or

LTD EC-1000

The Agile would tallly about $700CAD, and the LTD Would be about $1299CAD.

Just wondering if there are any issues with the Agile or if it is just as good.

I say Agile.

why not buy the EC400 instead of the 1000, same materials, it just doesnt have the shiney binding, still has EMGs full mahogoney set neck way better deal

Some are better than others and I was wondering where the Agile one stood.

The LTD is not like a conventional LP. It has a thinner, faster neck, better upper fret access, and 24 frets. I like them better than LPs, personally.

If you want a rhythm guitar, go for the Agile.

If you want a lead guitar, LTD.
A dwarf might hear you. What then?

I thought that they were all the same.

though you think it may be made the same doesnt mean they will both play the same.

Agile all the way! I heard somebody record their Agile LP (Don't know the real name for the Agile model), and it sounded amazing. The powerchords had a hard rock/heavy metal type sound, and the leads were brilliant.

I've heard that they are actually very solid, but I haven't had the opportunity to abuse one extensively .

^I'd let a pro look at it. Once you get into the technicalities of screws...well, it's just a place you don't want to be, friend.
