hey, i have a fender squier stratocaster, and a fender frontman amp (pretty basic), and im thinking of buying a new, slightly more expensive guitar. im interested in the epiphone les paul's mainly, but there are some other epiphones that look just as good. e.g. the x-plorer or the flying-v. anyone have any tips on which i should go for?

thanx

You might look into getting a Schecter. I love the sounds those guitars make. I think you can find them in the $500 range.

they are a different colour because theyre made in like a cream sort of finish to resemble zakk wylde's original bullseye guitar which has been worn down to a creamy sort of colour by age and wear.

You'd be better off investing in a new amp over a new guitar. You will get a much bigger tonal improvement that way.

However, if you really want a better guitar (which you do need), then any decent Epiphone would do the trick.

How much can you afford and where do you live? I ask where you live because amps vary in price depending on country.

I have an Ibanez RG350DX, pretty nice guitar and it was 350 USD, and for a 300 dollar (£200) amp...I's suggest a Line 6 75W Amp, I have one and it's even good to use live, I've never used it live though, IMO they're a pretty good choice, if you're the Les Paul type of guy, get a Zakk...it's 800 USD anywhere though.

i was looking at the line 6 spider 2 210 amp- but it was WAY out of ma price range. how much is the 75w?

I suggest you get a new guitar first. Something you could enjoy playing.

As for amps, you want the Fender Hot Rod Delux.
