So I've read great things about these cabinets. All the reviews are good, and they seem to fit my style of music. I think I'm going to try one, but I wanted to know, should I go for a 412 or 212? I can't seem to find any on ebay and the new 412's are like $900. Then again, I'm not sure a 212 would be enough. Thoughts?

The only thing with ported cabs, is the bass wont be as punchy, and it could get pretty muddy.

Its the same thing with subwoofers in cars, sealed boxes are tighter, but less bass

Ported is looser, but more bass.

The legacy 4x12 would be pretty nifty...

yeah, if anything th 2x12 g-flexes are better than the 4x12's. because fo the fact that they sound fuller than an average 2x12.

but the legacy 4x12 pwns. it's like a recto 4x12 basically.

G-Flex cabs are great. Very responce and they have a huge sound. It's definately one of the better 212 cabs available. Carvin Legacy 4x12's are great too if you want to go the 412 route, but 212 should be enough.

I've played many a show with my 2x12, it's plenty loud and is crystal clear.
