Does anyone know where I could find an online tutorial or something for lowering the action on my Les Paul.

See those 2 big screws on each side of the bridge? Twist them with a screwdriver or with your fingers if you are really strong, anticlockwise (with guitar facing you) to lower action, problem solved.

I know that's a bass, but same theory/.
No Problem, when you are getting a new guitar and you don't want that Les Paul, mail it to me, i will pay for the shipping.
Oh and if its a lower model that doesnt have the screws (like my SG special), then loosen up the strings a bit and turn the thumbweels at the bottom of the tailpiece either clockwise, or counterclockwise ( at "anti-clockwise")
