Hey all,

Okay first i have to apologize, since there are ALOT of these threads already, but due to the importance it has to me i must ask. I have been completely back and forth between the Roland Cube 30 and the Vox Ad30vt. I play almost anything and everything. I have read reviews of the amps ups and downs but i really need to ask and see what you guys think of it. Any suggestions/opinions would be awesome. Thanks.......

the part about the cube being better for hard rock...not true. they both do everything rather nicely. the vox does get better cleans and the roland is slightly a little better more metal. they are both equal when it comes to hard rock IMO. both can be very good amps for anything if your patient enough to play around with the knobs.

in the end go with the vox if you play more with cleans or the cube if you play more metal because other than those two genres, they are pretty much the same.

I've always prefered the Vox. It has a warmer and fuller tone. It also has more features & a wider selection of effects. The Vox might struggle a bit if you're playing black metal or grindcore or something like that, but it'll do everything else great. And it does still have a fair amount of distortion.

I'm the fan of the vox, I'm actually looking to get a valvetronix becuase of how much it impressed me without being fully tubed. I love the vox clean, distortion, crunch, tremelo, and reverb it trully is a great amp.

Well I can play Metal with the Vox no problem, and metalcore like Trivum. It sounds great! Effects are great too! Check out my band-everything was recorded with a Vox Ad15VT!
