so far me and my band have created a song, we have done an intro and verse and chorus, but now we need some sort of a link or fill to link it to the outro of the song. The guitarist is using d minor and other chords in the verse, becuase of this most of my bass line is based ont the d minor scale. But i want to change it so what other scales can i use that will sound good witht the d minor scale?, and are there any well known fills and links that will help me?

thanks in advanced

dminor harmonic could be interesting.

instead of the scale going 2-1-2-2-1-2-2

it will go 2-1-2-2-1-3-1

a very small change but if you use that one difference it will be noticable
dean edge one 5 string
Schecter studio-4
Samick fairlane-6
Ibanez sb900
Ibanez btb775
Fender p bass special deluxe

Dean Del Sol
Ibanez prestige rg2610

Peavey TKO 65
Peavey vb-2

keep it simple cause really who the **** knows what the d minor harmonic is.

play the F major. or simply, if u need a build up to the outro, just slide and octave up and yeh.

so it would look like...

D|-5-5-5-5/17-17-17-17

I do, its cool

Sure simple songs are good but whats wrong with a good complex song?

F major will sound good. You might also want to try going up an octave or two. With my bass lines I really like on the last chorus to jump octaves and play a part that will sound similar to the lead guitar part. I like it, u might not though...
