So, I'm in the process of buying a yellow Gibson Les Paul Lite. there are a few minor dings in the body but nothing thatll affect tone or plability. personally i think the guitar is wonderful and all, i just wanted to see if i could get some feedback on the guitar to see if its worth the buy

im only paying 700, and i saw the same type going for about 1500 on myspace, so at least it seems good for the money

but any comments on the guitar? should i go for it? do the "lites" typically have any problems (given gibsons are great and there are no tonal/plability problems as of now) that will come up?

also if i can get any feedback on just like bragging rights, i.e. is it a guitar you go to your friends bragging too??? i know other gibsons are just wondering about this model

thanx

I'm guessing it's somekind of stipped down version of a standard les paul, but I've never heard of a lite either

ill get some pics asap for you guys

also as for being stripped down it only has two volume/tone knobs. compared to 4, two covered humbuckers, the standard pickup switcher on top, and also it is very "lite" haha, possibly basswood maybe, not sure

so thats what i see for why its a lite, but yea pics soon

ive played one of those before, not bad guitars although they do sound a bit different than standard les pauls, if you like the sound id say $700 is a fair price for one.
