Oy all, I've decided to enter a blues phase, but I'm not sure what CD's to get. The nearest credible selection of CD's(a Best Buy) is a 20-30 minute drive, so I'd like to make it count. From what I've been reading, a couple good blues names have come up: Robert Johnson, BB King, SRV. What specific CD's should I look for, and what other artists should I look into?

Thanks in advance.

There's too damned many. I'll just suggest guys similiar to the ones you named.

Robert Johnson:
Son House
Charley Patton
"Blind" Willie McTell
"Blind" Lemon Jefferson

B.B. King:
Buddy Guy
Muddy Waters
Hubert Sumlin
Howlin' Wolf

SRV:
Jimmie Vaughan
Fabulous Thunderbirds
George Thorogood
Johnny Winter

Others I have to suggest:
John Lee Hooker
Rory Gallagher
Freddie King
Albert King
Big Joe Williams
Sonny Boy Williamson
Paul Butterfield
Charlie Musselwhite
John Mayall
J.J. Cale

There are so many different styles and artists out there, it's hard to name all the good ones.
