Hey, I don't know if this has been done before, but what metal albums are you wanting most for the second half of '06?

Me:

Wintersun - Time
Symphony X - Untitled (Supposed to be a lot darker than previous works)
Sonata Arctica - Untitled (Maybe not due out this year, probably next year)
Iced Earth - Untitled (Supposed to be like a 'Something Wicked II'!!!)

Symphony X, definately.

Hey guys! I just started playing electric guitar should I get a Gabson Lay Pall or a Femdor Startokaster. I like the picks on the gabsons but i like how sweet femdors look. Beforre i get a gabson what company makes them?

Lets not get too off topic here, but Slipknot is definitely not METAL. And why is your name "destroy_hiphop" when Slipknot has obvious hip-hop influences... NU METAL. Get the **** out of here.

i beg to differ theamaranth. Slipknot does NOT have any hip hop influences although some people do classify them as almost nu-metal.

well im anticipating The Crusades by Trivium =)
i read in guitarworld mag that they gonna change their metalcore-like sounds into more of thrash metal with less screaming in their new album. Hope the fans dont complain of a sell-out though -.- I know I won't =)

um. ok. Knot is very nu-metal. If you like them, fine, but from memory having a dj who himself stated that he likes hip hop and incorporates that element into slipknot, plus Corey's vocals that tend to stray into rap/spoken word territory quite a bit. Yet again, if you like them, whatever, but don't try to classify them as something that they're obviously not. That's at least half the reason of why they cop so much **** everywhere.

While I'm here, Trivium isn't metal either. Metal-core, hence hardcore/metalcore thread.

*picks up a flamethrower*...

back on topic, any new Amon Amarth is on my wish list

Lamb of God - Sacrament

The third sticky in this thread is well dumb, considering Lamb of God aren't Metalcore and they are even on Wikipedia as Groove Metal.

No I wasn't saying that Wikipedia determines that, I am saying that the moderator was like "Oh yeah and Metal is this (link) and Metalcore is this (link).

Lamb of God are Groove Metal/Post Thrash so therefore Metal.

It's all ****in' Metal to me.

Lamb of God = Metalcore. It's on the thrashier side of metalcore, but it's still metalcore.

Groove metal is a genre, though. Ex: Pantera.

^Yeah, I wanna hear that one too, but the new track didn't give me the biggest expectations. Although I purchased The Art of War recently, and if it's as good as that, I'll be happy
