I have a Gibson Style 1-11/16" nut and i have to either slot it or replace it with a pre slotted nut. I cant find a pre slotted nut on the internet plus the one i have is white bone that i payed about 15 bucks for so i dont want to scrap it.
So, Can anyone tell me how the spacing is measured or at least the width between the E's and the nut edges? All the calculators want that measurement but I dont have it.
If not can anyone tell me of a place I can get a preslotted nut?
Any help at all greatly appreciated.

You'd need slotting files, which can be expensive...
Usually, they have them at guitar shops...So I don't know why they don't have em at yours.

You can get a Earvana nut, which helps ALOT with intonation problems.
earvana.com, I think.
