Hey guys. I own a GT1200 Full Stack. I have one cab at my drummers house, and whenever i only bring the head, making it a half stack, When i put it past 6, it makes a really low and annoying thumping sound. I thought it might be my bass settings, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. I am running it through a zoom G7.1ut effects system. Any suggestions? I thought about it maybe being my pickups, but I'm not sure. btw, i use a jackson js30RR

The problem is the fact that its a SS fullstack...

sorry to say...

[edit] for that price you could have got a good tube combo..

I know, I know. But I wasn't buying, and I made the mistake of trying it out with a Jackson RR1, so that didn't help. But it sounds great at lower volumes. Any solutions? Anyone?

Keep it at lower volumes/new amp?

I have thought about getting a blue voodoo. Marty Freidman uses 'em. And with my drummer, I don't think a 300 watt PA would go over him.

You don't think a 300w PA could overpower a drummer? lol

Just get a decent valve combo or something like that, problem solved.
