er, this is my version of Bat Country that i did!!

i have put in some of the vocal melodies on guitar and i think i have everything spot on apart from the sweeps after the solo which were one take as they were to quiet before, so i re-recorded them once just so they are hearable!!

everything was decent except the solo. alot of the parts you just tried to play too fast. but the rhythm is really good. and i really like what you did in the chorus, that was spot on. i like that. and you decided not to do any of the other vox on the guitar, which was a good choice, it was very tasteful.

i know what you mean about the solo, but it was alot better than my previous one i had there!! i watched a syn vid recently to see how he played it!! so it is better now!! All of the solo parts were first takes as i know they will get worse with every attempt!! I will have another attempt when im feeling up to it

Thanks though, i thought the vocals were a nice touch on guitar and any more woulda spoilt it!!

cheers for the comment

listening to it right now. it sounds good so far, i like how you made a guitar part for the chorus vocals. very nice and also for the clean part too! the solo was pretty good. a few mistakes here and there but pretty good. duet was overall pretty nice too xD this was a good cover. good job on it!

if you want a tab for the solo? i have a tab from guitar world that i learned to play the solo on. i can't play the part right when the duet starts, how do you play it

well i used a mates tab from Total Guitar!! it is mostly correct, so i just watched a vid from guitar world to see how Syn and Zacky played it!!

the first part of the harmony when the solo cuts out are played by sweep picking or fast alternate picking depending on which harmony you pick!!
the lower one is what Syn plays and from what i can tell he sweeps the first position but the second has an odd pattern so im guessing he alternate picks it!!
the higher one Zacky plays, and this is just straightforward sweeping!! much easier than the other harmony!!
