the first few songs with tapping that I learned were crazy train and eruption. Just play it in small parts and stick it together.

Joe Satriani - Day At The Beach.
Joe Satriani - Midnight.

Those are two excellent pieces and not too technically difficult.

Those are two of his best as far as I'm concerned... but as a starter perhaps you should try the tapping section in Always With Me, Always With You if you're looking for some easier Satriani stuff.

And what do you mean? Normal compared to what?... though I think you'll find you're in the same boat as a lot of other guitarists... most people only seem to learn the tapping section of Eruption.

There's a powertab for Wait for Sleep by Dream Theater arranged for tapping guitar, try that.

I find it's really hard to get both hands coordinated enough to do separate melodies like that.

Those are some good tapping songs but does anyone know a song that has slow taps in it. Ive slowed down some nevermore tapping riffs and they sound pretty good but i cant find any song that actually has a slow tapping riff. If anyone knows one plz post

The Four Seasons- Paul Gilbert

its a fairly simply tapping thing, a little more interesting than eruption, and it uses a differant pattern.
Ain't it fun when you know you're gonna die young?

One - metallica

Anything by van halen he practically invented tapping

umm yes it's perfectly normal to be able to tap better than you can solo for the simple reason tapping isn't that hard and soloing fast is harder
