Probably my favourite DM band, Slowly We Rot is one of the best metal debuts ever.

Tardy's vocal style is also incredibly unique, and awesome.

No way dude ! Cause of death is the best. That's the one they got them a 5 album 1.7 million dollar deal with RoadRunner I think. it was engineered by Scott burns... the master!!

I like World demise too. Its kinda different.

What about the guitarist? I forget his name. he's one of the best death metal guitars of those times ... he was also in Testament's Low album or something .... Love those days when obituary and sepultura ruled the world !!

Cause Of Death is better, yes. But it isn't a better debut because *SHOCKHORROR* it isn't a debut.

Yup ... he did. That's when testament went out to sound close to a death metal band. Just close ... but Low is an awesome album!!

James Murphy also had his own band. He released one album. I havent heard them after that. The name of the band was Disincarnate and the name of the album was "Dreams of the carrion Kind". The song "Stench of paradise burning" is the best in that album.

Long live James murphy !!

Meh. James Murphy is awesome and I like the vocals...but they get pretty boring to me pretty quick. I bought their latest album, that was my introduction to them...dissapointed, I was. Plus I've gotten into more and more stuff since then so it really pales in comparison to alot of stuff but that's just me, I'll leave all of you Obituary fans to yourselves

ok. Thanks for letting us know that we should not buy any of his solo albums !!

Death's lineup was always changing... Human was done with the guitarist from Cynic... James murphy performed in one or two albums... The drummer in ITP was from Dark Angel... Chuck never stuck with the same guys for Death's albums.
