I just got their album Pink, and I think it's easily one of the best albums of 2006. They're a heavy psychadelic/stoner/ambient/sludge/noise rock band from Japan, somewhat reminiscent of bands like Lightning Bolt and Death From Above 1979, and heavily influenced by The Melvins. Pink originally came out in 2005 in Japan, but was only released in North America this year. They have also now released a Zaireeka style album with two discs to be listened to simultaneously. Tell me what you think of them.

I've never seen what all the fuss is about. I think it's just because they copied that Nick Drake album cover once.

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.

Boris is awesome. I have about nine of their CDs and pretty much every single one of them is quality. Heavy Rocks slays.

I really have been looking into buying Pink. I suppose I should.

I like them a lot better than Sun O))).
