when i try to solo it always sounds very blues influenced. i usually use minor penatonic scales.

try using minor scales, get away from using JUST pentatonic ideas

i tryed a natural minor out and it sounded quite diff. i dont really know how to describe it but i like it. thnks

Dude, Jimmy Page basically only plays minor-pentatonic blues solos. Just learn a couple of Zeppelin solos if you want a better idea of the actual licks he uses.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but Jimmy Page's sound is pretty bluesy. Nothing to worry about though, if you like his sound, you just gotta learn his phrasing, and make up some licks of your own with similar phrasing
