Is there any black people on UG?

id go with the epi personally
but tbh the best thing for you to do would be to go and try them both out and decide for yourself

Do you want to replace your mustang or complement it?

well the prices are a little different so if u got the lp and put new pups on it it would still not cost as much as the strat

I would say an Elitist Epiphone Les Paul Standard or Standard Plus.

If you don't want that, get the American strat but with a humbucker in the bridge (looking at your band)

Play them yourself, decide for yourself, they're completely different guitars w/different sounds and it's all preference.

Atta boy, don't get rid of NUTHIN"!

I get the LP in your case, though I think the American Strat is a better rig. for the price of the Strat, you could end up with a very nice Epi.

unless you get an elitist, id say an MIA strat would pwn the s*it out of an epi LP.. if u want to do heavier stuff, get a MIA strat with a humbucker

Give 10 UGers a rope and ask them to pull. 4 will push, 1 will ask for buttsecks, 2 will tell you get an Ibanez and the last 3 will start complaining about Line6 Spiders.
#15
I would get the Epi and either pimp it out or go ahead and get an Epi Elitist LP. They are up there near Gibson for quality.
#16
buy a MIM players strat and an epi standard.
