hey, does anyone here know how much a warmoth strat like file:///c:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Gianfranco/My%20Documents/My%20Pictures/sick%20strat.bmp
but with a quilt like this and with coil tapping would come up to? with an alder body, top routed, maple and maple neck and gold bridge and tuners.

cause im starting work and I might as well go all out and get an amazing guitar. and im just wondering what kind of tone does swamp ash and walnut give over an alder body or if you could have any wood for your strat, which would you choose?

thanks for the help!

EDIT: the first pic doesnt seem to work so i'll just describe it to you, its sunburst, black pickguard, HSH setup and the pups are white, gold tuners and bridge and volume and tone knobs are white and neck is maple with maple fingerboard and black dot inlays.

well theres a used(barely used) MIA strat ay my local store in my favorite color and its only $799 compared to over 1300 for a new one in sunburst and maple fingerboard so I could do that but I need a good guitar for dist and I was told I should get a fat strat so I dont know I cold save up for this or just get the MIA strat at my local store which I was planning on doing annd I also planned on buying some agile PRS copy for dist but then someone adivsed me that if I wanted a guitar good for dist and clean to get a fat strat.

well fat strat will be good for distortion since the humbucker in the bridge is good for that sounds but the major let down with most fender strats (imo) are the pickups i just find them utter crap. but yeh get the mia strat and with spare cash go buy some new pickups

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

thanks guys, I went back to the store and played the MIA strat and it sounded awesome, I was playing it through some marshall halfstack, not an MG or AVT, there were tubes involved but the neck felt a bit chunky and I dont know I just didnt really like the feel, the body felt a bit small(it probably wasnt) and I dont know. The neck just felt a bit slow. It was also actually alot more used than I thought, scratched up and some stains around the 14-22 frets. I also learned the store does down payments so I can buy like any guitar and the even better news is I can get the amp and guitar at the same time, its just gonna take me like a year to pay them off lol. I think what im gonna do now is get a PRS custom 24 ten top and a traynor YCV80 .
Im still planning on buying a strat later though, probably an agile because those are supposed to be alot better than MIMs. thanks for all the help guys but it looks like I wont be getting a warmoth or carvin

thanks everyone
