Go to your local guitar store and try out a bunch of different pedals. That way you'll know what you like and what you dont, and you won't end up spending your money on something like, say, a wah pedal only to find youre not going to use it.

Visual Sounds Jekyll And Hyde Ultimate Overdrive. It was my first pedal (even though I'm still kinda n00bish). It is overdrive and distortion put together into one pedal. The thing I like about it is that its very versatile.

FFS people, before you all clamour to recommend your very favourite wittle pedal, let's fine out what amp he has, eh?

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

#12

well then, you might wanna look at a multi-effects pedal. the line 6 podXT live isn't bad for the price.

Cheap amps are "that bad". They suck up your tone like cocaine at Kate Moss' party.

Let's get back to that. Shall we?

Guys, stop recommending things that he doesn't need (like overdrive pedals, should be restricted to tube amps only, unlike what he has, solid state).

i would like a wah very much and maybe a distortion. i've only had my amp for the day so i havent tinkered with it enough. but, yes i deffinately want a wah pedal....and no i will not ditch my amp. i like it and i just got it. i was just asking for some ideas on effects. i've never actually used a pedal before so i dont know what to look for so i needed some advice. ultimately i want a setup that can achieve a guns n roses type sound. but not just that. i would like a little bit better distortion so now that ive said all that ill take advice. thatks to all who have given though

And to think Dave, I reposted that.

Bah. I need a drink. Tavern it is...

For a wah pedal: Vox V847 or Budda Budwah

^ yeah, i know. It always amuses me that threadstarters expect people to answer their questions at length, while they aren't even willing to read the damn replies properly, which takes about one-tenth the effort.
