i might visit guitar center soon and plan on trying out some gear to dial in some nice blues tones any recommendations?

i already definately want to try out the Eric Johnson combo of a fender deluxe reverb and a tc electronic chorus and a memory man

but, i want more haha you know how it is with us guitarists and our tone

i love that smooth creamy distorted sound that john mayer has as well as stevie rays tone, theyre incredible

try some strats, some guitars with p-90s maybe, some hollowbodies.

for amps, try a fender hot rod or a fender blues junior.

thats just a few things, find the gear that some of your favorite blues guitarists use. i think, and i mean i THINK that john mayer uses strats with fender hot rod amps. so try that maybe

I've never really like Mayer, but I love the tone he gets, and I love the John Mayer signature strat. Sounds great for a bluesy crunch.
